My Story: New York Investment Banker to Full Time Domainer

Welcome to Carde.net!

I’ve dedicated this web site to providing information that will increase your wealth by harnessing the power of the Internet. After working on and off in the Internet industry since 1998 as an Entrepreneur, Programmer, Director of Business Development, Marketer, Ad Sales Manager, and Investment Banker, I can honestly say that I’ve finally reached the Internet wealth ‘zen’ and I can now operate profitably in any new Internet venture I choose

These are difficult economic times and I see so many people around me struggling to make ends meet. So I decided to share my knowledge with the world to help those starting out jump-start their efforts at achieving financial freedom through business on the Internet.

Please read on for a little background info on me…

I launched my first Internet company while I was still in college in 1998. The company was acquired by a publicly traded firm in 1999 (ahhh, those were the days). I then helped raise over $5 million in venture capital and launched a second Internet company in 1999. We had a good run, but the dot com crash got the best of us and the company filed for bankruptcy in 2001. I then worked for another Internet startup where I was an early employee and held a number of senior management roles, including Director of Business Development and Director of Advertising. This startup was acquired for $13 million by a publicly traded company.

Then I got my MBA and went to work for a large investment bank covering Internet companies in New York City. It was during this time that I learned the power of domain names. I fell in love with the lifestyle and the economics of the industry so much that I actually quit my six figure job to start ‘Domaining’ full time. Hard to believe, but its true!

My banker friends told me I was crazy. But now they’re all jealous. Most are laid off. Those that still have jobs don’t make the big bucks anymore. And while their industry hurtles towards nationalization, I travel the world, work at my leisure, and wake up without an alarm clock.

But it wasn’t always this easy. When I left my job, I started out trying to earn income by Domaining. But at first, my success was doubtful. I picked up some profitable ‘type-in’ gems in the aftermarket, learned to comb the drop lists, and even hand registered some names that I later re-sold for thousands of dollars. But then PPCs collapsed, aftermarket sales dried up, and things looked bleak. I had a sneaking suspicion I was missing something. I knew that the domain names I owned should be earning far more income. There had to be a better way.

That’s when I decided to jump head first into Domain Development. After several months of research and trial and error, I came up with a simple, yet powerful process to launch several high quality web sites per week. The income uplift I experience is usually 10,000% – 30,000% over domain name parking revenue after a developed name is launched. And I am finally making more money than when I was still working as an Investment Banker!

I actually launched a separate web site that provides a step by step guide detailing my methods for acquiring valuable domain names and then developing and launching them as profitable income generating Internet real estate. If you’re curious to learn more, I encourage you to visit my site called Beyond Domaining. Following the system on my other site is a guaranteed way to improve your Internet income.  The guidebook I offer at BeyondDomaining.com provides the same income opportunity that I’ve developed over the last ten years working in the Internet industry.  Its ideas represent the summation of my past experiences in entrepreneurship, business school, and on Wall Street.

But that is not the purpose of this web site!

Friends, the purpose of this web site is to provide free tips and tricks and commentary on improving your Internet wealth.

Welcome friend, and please come back often!
